I've noticed Mr Otis seemes to have a lot of loose stools, especially when we go for walks. He also poops more than my other dog. At first I noticed it on the walks but he just went and it was very runny. he also is quite a gassy dog. i had his stool checked many times this winter and the last couple times it was fine. I am wondering if maybe it is due to his food? I feed him chicken soup for the dog lovers soul and he gets milkbones here and there plus some fresh food for treats. my vet said something about probiotics back this winter. If i take him to the vet will they be able to tell me why he has loose stool or just give me probable causes?

It could be the food. I'm not sure what's in your dog's brand but I was feeding ours a food with oatmeal that kept them healthy but gave them huge, soft stools. I switched within the same brand to one with rice instead of oatmeal and the stools were smaller and firmer and the dogs did just as well on it.
