What is the everybody's favorite dog shampoo? Diesel has bad allergies. The baby shampoo dries his skin out horribly. I have been told to try oatmeal shampoo's but what kind? I have tried numerous shampoo's but everything dries him out
If we ban Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are humans some dont like next ?
I use Tropiclean neem shampoo. Its great for itchy skin. I use the citrus, even though we are flea free here, just because i love the smell of it and it keeps them from itching. They do make an oatmeal based shampoo also. I buy it at our local feed store, but you can also order it online. Its very reasonably priced too.
Jgermansh, try Lemon - Aid Conditioning Shampoo, by Best Shot. It is very mild, with Aloe Vera and Jojoba oil, and very good for dry sensitive skin. Dusty's suggestion is also very nice, and it does smell so nice, too.
I was wondering the same thing too, about the best shampoo. My vet gave me a sample of hy-lyte but I haven't used it yet on my puppy. I've read that bulldogs don't need to be bathed very often if you brush them frequently (and I do, or at least try to). Has anyone used this brand and have an opinion about it?
There's a shampoo called Allergroom (I think that is the name) which you can get from the vet's office. I use a brand called Earthbath - they have an Aloe and Oatmeal shampoo and conditioner which is for sensitive and itchy skin. Their products are all natural and safe for the environment. I like them as you don't have to use a lot of the product and you can dilute them if necessary.
In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland
I am a groomer, and I personally use Groomers Edge on my dogs. They have all kinds of different shampoos, from hypo-allergic, to a great natural deep cleaning. I personally use the pearlight on my show dogs, it brings out their color like you wouldn't belive. I use their moisture magic conditioner on my own hair. I think everyone has a brand they like, you just have to try different things til you find one you like.
