My girlfriend's dog ( shih tzu, bout 3 yrs aprox, around 13 lbs * i think* ) Her names is Robbie , ( my gf's dog )She has been throwing up yellow stuff in the mornings for some time now not everyday but kinda often 5times on sat , usually this happens in the morning , my gf spoils her , she always feeds her n treats her like her kid , she took her on fri to a new vet and they told her she was fine they dident find anything wrong with her , yet she still threw up , my gf already changed her food ,, dunno exactly to what ,she said she ate it fats the 1st day n kept on eating ok til sat. Now she deosnt want to eat at all . she tried given her cheeriso (she usually eats them on the morning) a lil piece of wheat bread , her food , and nothing the dog wont eat .what could be wrong with her ?????? my gf took her to the vet on fri and already told her shes fine , what can she do ?????
I'm pretty sure that vomiting yellow bile is NOT a good thing. I would get a second opinion from a different vet first. Then like pen2 said, try and stick to one food. Treats are fine, but in moderation.
If it werent for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstopable.
I Agree- vomitting and not eating are bad signs. Get a second opinion. My dog was doing the same thing and I found it was because I switched her to a food with too many vitamins in it (science diet) and they were irritating her stomach. Did she slowly switch her food by replacing some of the old food with the new food slowly or did she just do it all at once? That could be it too. Good luck finding a solution.
