Two of my babies got neutered this morning. I brought them home this afternoon, and they walking around like they are restless and consistenly winning. The vet told me that they gave them a 24 hour pain relief shot, but they did not give any pain meds like I got when Heidi got spayed. Should they have given me pain meds?
when i got my lab fixed this year they not only gave him pain meds but they gave me 4 pills to give him for pain thru out the days....they should have sent you home with a pain reliver or a antinflamitory how ever u spell that anyways but yes they should have an if i was you i would take them back there an let them know hey my dogs in pain i want it fixed because they dont understand why they hurt ..
The boys are 8-9months old. They didnt put them in cone collars but they told me if they lick at it to much to buy some at Petsmart. They are not whinning so much today, but yesterday they where not comfortable at all. The pups are with the pet adoption leguae they are the ones paying for the medical care. So I don't know if that is just what they do. I will see how they do today if they still act like they are hurting today I will call the vet first thing on Monday.
i remember years ago when thunder was neutered he couldn't walk normal for the first 3-4 days. he would walk, then stop and sit and try to chew on himself down there. it was really irritating to him. so he had to be on steroids for a few days til the irritation went away.
max slept for the first day and a half he was so gorked on sedatives and pain meds. none of my dogs will ever be given ace again. he wouldn't have been either if i had seen the tech going to give him the shot grr.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
