hi, i'm new here. i signed up because i have been duped. i found the perfect english bulldog and my children and myself were so excited b/c we recently had to put down our family dog, due to cancer.
anyways, i've never bought a dog online before, and i was told by the lady to send her $1,000 via moneygram. this is ALLOT of money to us and the kids even pitched in with their piggy bank savings, this is how much we wanted this puppy.
i haven't heard from her since i sent the money. the phone number she gave me is disconnected and she won't answer my emails. this is the email she gave me. her name is ragina XXX, supposedly.

hi. thank you so much for your replies. i have posted in that blog and am hoping to press charges against this woman somehow. what she is doing is not only a felony, but it's messing with families, especially if you have children.
The first red flag was the price. An English Bulldog for 1,000 ? No way. There are alot of expenses with breeding these dogs. C-sections, is just a part of it. A well bred English Bully will usually start at at least 2,000. I know hindsight is 20/20, but its SO important to thoroughly check out a breeder before purchasing a puppy. Always get references, Call their vet, call them. Another way to weed out the scammers is to ask them to take a picture with an object of your choice. Tell them you want a picture of the puppy with, say, a can of coke sitting next to the puppy. Something that will prove they even have the dog in their possesion.
I really hope that this person will be caught, but it probably wont happen. Not to many laws to protect the buyer, so we have to learn to protect ourselves. Sorry you were scammed, there is a very long line of people that are before you and sadly many more will come after.
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
