We have a 4month goldendoodle and either she is crazy or I am! She can be very sweet and calm in the house, but when she is in the yard she becomes this wild, nippy crazy thing. My kids are all afraid to be outside with her because she runs by barking, grabs pants, nips at ankles, and knocks little people down. The only way we can be outside with her is when she is leashed. My question...is this puppy stuff or something that I need to worry about?
sounds like a normal 4 month old pup who wants to run and play and burn off extra energy. do you have a family member or close friend who has a young dog that could visit a couple times a week for playtimes? when you a buy mixed breed dog both breeds in the mix must be considered as it is impossible to tell which traits such a dog will have. sporting breed dogs were bred to have higher energy levels for hunting as compared to a lap dog breed like a pug.i don't envey you the grooming challenge this combination can produce.
Beautiful...can you not take a joke? Honestly, the puppy will behave like that now especially, and the more exercise and direction you give her the better. Perhaps she's ready for puppy school, and lots of high energy runs. Is she contained inside for most of the day, or does she have supervision in the day time?
