Hiya! Like driving them Peterbilts do you? How easy life is since Macks.
I had a beagle when I was a kid. Her name was lady. One day I took Lady for a walk while riding my skateboard (which Pops always scorned me about because walking should consist of walking not rolling with a dog). It was a small neighborhood so I skated down the street. I checked every once a while to make sure she was okay, then I decided to ollie over the curb and onto the sidewalk; She was right there next to me. Awesome. But further down the neghborhood were some new houses getting built so there were less and less trees, so she split me against a street-light pole and ran for a tree. She went one way and I went face first foward. I had chipped my tooth into the sidewalk. It's still there today in Baumholder Germany, a triangle shaped incisor. Although Lady isn't. She ran past the tree and straight for the hills. She broke my heart... and my tooth.
Train the come command early; Don't be lazy and walk yo' dog man!
I have to agree with lpn169. Beagles are very stubborn, but very sweet and also make great companions. When I fisrt got Lucy the vet asked me if I wanted a barking dog... It's been almost a year and she's definitely not a barker, but she will bay like crazy at strangers.
