Hello all.
I am planning on getting an english bulldog in the next six or so months. I figured I'll need at least that much time to do research and find a breeder near where I live.
I realize that the first vet visit is crucial, so what tests should I expect the vet to perform on it, and how long should I expect to wait before he has the results?
I've been reading about cleft palettes in bulldogs and need to know how old the pup has to be before you can test for this?
When I pick my puppy, how can I tell how it's tail will be? I can seem to find any pics of the back end of an english bulldog online>
I really don't know how to determine if a vet is a reg vet or a "bulldog vet". I think I'll trying checking with the U of Penn's vet school to see if they can refer me to someone, are hospitals allow to do that?

The tail will be as it is by the time you get your puppy.Not sure if they dock at all,but docking is done by 2 days old.
