I'm new to the board and I thought I'd take a few words to introduce myself.
I have 4 border collies:
Bob - rescued from a farm at 2.5yrs (he's now 10), he is smooth coated, mainly white with a touch of black. He is a very big dog but was kept in a tiny rabbit hutch before I got him. he is very nervous of noise, especially guns and thunder and is a huge big softie.
Wag - resuced from a farm at 1yr (he's now 8.5), he is rough coated, mainly black with a touch of white. his names suits him, he never stops with the tail, he is a typical working dog and totally hyper and needs loads of exercise, him and Bob are inseperable.
Garrie - resuced last year from a farmer who didn't like him and was going to put him to sleep, after physically abusing him and causing him damage to the hind legs by throwing him over a gate. Garrie is smooth coated even between black and white, and is dreadfully nervous but really wants to please. he lives out in a custom built dog run because he just doesn;t cope in the house.
Archie - my only doggie purchase, bought as a puppy (to replace a horse I lost last year), he is now 11mths and seriously ill. he is a beautiful collie and is rough coated, and tr-coloured. He has been diagnosed with an auto immune disease which is being treated with steroids at the moment, but no one is sure yet what the prognosis is.
I also have an ex-racehorse, thoroughbred rescued a couple of months ago from a girl who was going to put him to sleep becasue she decided she didn't want him anymore.
Then there are the 9hens, 3 cockerels, and 5 ducks. Not to mention Buzz (a chincilla persian) and Tiggs (a tortoiseshell) - the house cats.
Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have a full house!
I've taken the liberty of moving your topic to the correct area, general topics, where introductions are posted. If you look at the top of this section, you will see a "sticky" where many of your follow posters have shared a bit on themselves and their pets.
Looking forward to hearing more about your crew and (hopefully) seeing some pics of them.
