Shetland Sheepdogs

For fun and for excersice I let my sheltie (Sam) chase the water he has a great time and so do I (but) my neibor came over yesterday to inform me what I was doing was very bad. He said this because sam was barking and chasing the water. Sometimes he doesnt bark and chase the water and sometimes he does. This was play time not training time. I felt we both needed fun ways let him get his energy out besides walking. We also take walks and he chases rocks, birds, ducks and rabbits. Is this ok to do with Sam

Your neighbor doesn't know what he's talking about. The dog probably just annoyed him by barking. What reason did he give you for why he thinks chasing water is bad?

Shelties are one of the best dogs ever, they are just really pertective and love to play with there owners.
