first off you need to find out whwat is causing the seizures. Sometimes distemper can cause seisures, so can allergic reactions to shots or medication. Other seizures are hereditary in nature and can't be prevented or cured. What kind of dog do you have? You should take it to the vet definitely.
Monitor what your dog eats. SOme things may upset our dogs system. It may be a varietyu of things. Carefully watch, even take records of the meds he gets, the amount of food and what, etc and how he reacts to them. THat'll help narrow it down.
my late dog, Lucky had seizures. he started having them because the vet said liver problems...he prescribed a human medication called Sam-E i forgot what it was for in humans, but it seemed to help with Lucky for awhile. We had to put him to sleep a few months ago because the seizures got too bad. He was 17. I had a lot of experience with seizures because Lucky would always have them..but they werent too bad and then he stopped having them...but hen he had a severe case he had about 8 in one night..thats when my dad knew it was time and he didnt snap out of the seizure. They were always hard to watch...im glad that he's not suffering anymore though...he was my dads dog, he had him before i was born..before he met my mom. But its ok, he's in a better place right? I hope i didnt depress you too much with my story but i just wanted to tell you about my experience with dog seizures hopefully everything will be ok with your pup. good luck friend! -Kelly
