The second one is imo the most beautiful I have read. I have never seen it before and word for word what he writes is sooo true.
Being each others friend, and you have known your almost hubby long enough that you know.....
I often tell people about my husband, and usually the first words I use are: He is one of the nicest people I have ever met! Its true, he is. Of course there are days but they pass as well.
Your priest is a good man. I work with priests a lot and as a helper at church for weddings. One day a bride wanted certain flowers in sconces on the pews. Our last pastor had never allowed that cause someone fell once on the strewn petals. Well, when I told Fr. that I was worried about the sconces..... but she had her heart set on it.
Fr. said, what she wants to do doesn't matter except for one thing. What? I asked and he said. Will it result in the loss of her immortal soul? I said, Good Lord no!! Well in that case said the priest. Let her do it, dosen't matter if their are flowers or 12 wedding party members. It is their day, and they especially the bride should have any/everything she requires.
Great words of wisdom, no matter he was so loved.
Long story short, you do what you like, your setting as I said before is breathtaking, you two will have memories that cannot be taken away if one of you loses a job, has a period of illness, etc.
You trot out your wedding memories and relive that day and how much in love you were and it wipes out the bad days, moods, etc.
Becky you already know I wish you eons of happiness. Enjoy!!
Don't say things like that! People will misunderstand and think we're the same person! Next thing you know, they'll be accusing me of having 2 personalities and talking to myself! (if they only knew what goes on in that closet...)
