Good grief!!! Why does he need to be bigger? So you can fight him or just boost your ego. So many pits are already oversized. The bigger and more out of standard the dog, the more likely it will have joint problems. You don't don't sound much better than the idiots who ask, "How did you get your Rottie so big." As is it's something I did, ever hear of genetics. If your dog receives a proper diet and regular vet care, he will grow as big as he was meant to be.
Yeah! Pitties already are susceptible to knee and joint problems! The very best you can do for your pitty is keep him lean and healthy and educate yourself to appreciate him that way. DO NOT feed him table scraps. He will get fat and be carrying more unnecessary weight and likely injure his knees and joints. Please consider youself hereby edumacated and invoke a serious attitude change!
If he is underweight you should make sure that he is free of worms.Make sure you use quality dog food with a decent amount of protien and table scraps will not make your dog fat, I feed my dogs bits and pieces of scraps and they are fine. You have to make sure that the dog is getting the correct amount of exercise to match the amount of fat and protien and you wont have to worry about him being overwieght or underwieght.****Just a side note but people do not figt fat dogs, they keep them skinny to fight them, the smaller the better in the game world.
Actually alot of people give bits and pieces of scraps like some carrots, green beans, meat, apples, and other things to thier dogs as treats. Some scraps are alot better than some of the cheap dog food out here. Why dont you take another look at the forum rules because it is not only rude but against the rules to type in all caps.
I take my animals to the vet also and the vet told me it is good for a dog to get things as a treat like carrots beans apples and so on. Yeah I know it meant you were shouting which is rude because you dont shout at people just because they dont agree with you. You seem to think everyone has to agree with you well they dont and no one is ever always right including you. Yeah I also saw the smiley at the end but so what again I dont have to agree with you on the fact of wether or not it was funny. You thought so and I did not think it was funny that you were "shouting at me" because i posted on a thread and had a different opinion than you.
Thank you and I admitt I do get a bit defensive. Another thing to keep in mind for the O.P and others is that different dogs systems respond differently to foods so what does justice for mine may be horrible for yours and vise versa. There are alot of things you can try to mantain a healthy weight.
imuniqe, thank you for remaining focused on the subject at hand. Yes, each animal is different as we are but nothing is worth subjecting you to the rudeness that I did. I apologize again and promise that it will never happen again.
