Hi Guys. I am new to the site and have a couple of questions. My Family and I are adopting 2 Lab Puppies In Sept. I have read the replies in another post, and the opinions differ greatly on whether 2 pups form the same litter should go to the same Family. However that is not my concern. My concern is During the day Should I have both pups in the same dog pen While I am out of the house?I am going to Crate them in different rooms of the house during night time. The Day time has me a little stumped. Growing Up we had German Shephards,And they were always together from Birth til they died a year apart. We never kept them apart. I have two Children And they will be taking part responsibility for each dog, ofcourse they are family members so everyone will be looking after them. But the kids will be doing the Training with them,Walking, feeding majority of the time. It's time,I have waited years until I knew they were mature enough for their dogs. Actually I was younger when I first got my Dog,so I am sure they will Be fine. OMG haven't I just Rammbled on and on,lol. So If anyone can give me some helpful advice in daytime routine that would be Great. Thanks
If they were my dogs, I'd put them in different pens during the day as well. That way they'll be encouraged to sleep and not play with each other when no one's home. IF they play with each other, activity can lead to them wanting to go potty in the crates.

Yes, I agree. You also need to do things with them separately as much as possible. You don't want them to be so dependent on each other that one gets stressed when the other one is not around. I know someone who has 2 littermates-she can't even take one out to pee without the other one being there!
Thanks for the advice.I have also been told to separate them as much as possible,So I will be doing that for sure.So getting two separate pens is the best Idea?Does it Matter if they can see eachother?
If it were me I would want them to be n different crates but in the same room. I guess I would just figure why be alone all day when you can have company. I haven't had experience with that situation, so take me with a grain of salt on this one. But it just seems like they would be more at ease when you are gone during the day if the have each other's company, lessen separation anxiety.
