Doberman Pinschers

I have a 22 month old Doberman, I live in germany (in the military). My wife went home to the states a few months back and got a new dog while on leave (Puggle). Titan (Dobie) is cut and Max the 19 week old puggle is not. we just got max in from the states on friday, and Titan does NOT want someone (another dog) on his turf. He knows who is boss as far as we are concerned, Me. But now how to I get them to get along, Max wants to rough house but Titan could kill him in about 1 sec. I've always had dogs while I was at home, and always wanted a Doberman, now I am trying to learn how to train him, I learned very Quickly that I had to be the Alpha Dog in the house, lol. Now as far a background I am not sure what the history, I basically rescued him because the lady that owned him left him at home every day in an apartment, Yeah not going to work. Now I hope he will accept my wife little dog cuz she is really attached as I am with Titan of course. Well any input from anyone I would like to hear I am here to learn, I want to learn more as much as I can seeing as how I have always wanted a Dobie now I just need to learn more about the training.

The way I would go about it, is to socialize the Doberman (and the puppy) as much as possible. I would take the Doberman to obedience training, and also put him into agility classes. I would take very careful measures to make sure the puppy doesn't turn into a chew toy, by seperating them a lot, at first. Each should be crate trained; and that can also be the puppy's safe place. You said the Doberman is 22 months old, how long have you had him?
