our one month old wild bunny, Henry, lives with us in our apartment we do not know if it is to late to realeses him and he is smaller than my palm he will sometimes screem when we pick him up but other than that really sweet what do we do?
Wild animals are not meant to be living in an apartment. If you wanted a rabbit, you should have gotten a domestic one. Please call wildlife services, or whoever deals with wild animals in your area, and maybe they can keep him alive and release him back into the wild. The scream is for help, the noise they make when they are in danger.
Sadly, cottontail babies will usually never survive because they have a defense mechinism that enables them to make themselves die when they're scared. IF the bunny does survive, you should make it a nest in a cardboard box with high walls and fill it with shredded paper and some REAL cotton (not the fake plastic look-alike stuff). Purchase some kitten formula and an eyedropper to feed the bunny six to ten times a day. The milk will have to be lukewarm. Contact your local animal shelter and try to find a wildcare specialist. Good luck!
