i have a almost 4 week old chihuahua and she is amazing but i am having problems with poddy training her. i mean we have came a long way. but we want to breed her with another AKC redgestered chihuahua to sell the puppy's and i am not sure at what age they start their peirods and what not. and i really need some help. i know you cant breed um tell they are a year old but when do they start their time of the month!!!! someone help
First, I really really hope you mean 4 month old and not 4 week old. If your pup is 4 weeks old, it should be with it's littermates and mother. Small dogs like chihuahuas are notoriously difficult to housetrain, consistency really helps. What are you doing right now to train her? Puppy pads? Praise? Treats? What do you do when she has accidents or goes in front of you?
Regarding breeding your dog, I almost don't even want to go there. Dogs have heat cycles, not periods. They don't need to be bred before the age of two, usually she will have had at least 2 and possibly even 3 heat cycles by then. WIth a dog the size of a chihuahua you should always breed her to a male that is smaller than she is, otherwise the puppies might be so large that they don't pass through her birth canal and she would require a c-section. In worst case scenario, she could die as a result of the breeding.
You have a lot of time to learn the pluses and minuses of breeding your dog, I suggest you get some dog books and start reading up now. Why do you even want to breed her in the first place? It sounds like you just want to breed her to breed her, or to make some money and honestly, those are pretty poor and irresponsible reasons to be breeding. If she requires a c-section, it might set you back $1000 or more, depending on the area of the country you live in. Each puppy will also require vet care before going to it's new home, and chihuahuas don't have big litters at all.
Also, she shouldn't be bred without having OFAs for her patellas and CERF exams done on her eyes. The OFAs require your dog be at least 2 years old to be certified and would help ensure that any puppies she had didn't carry some hidden genetic defects that aren't obvious to the naked eye.

Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
I got a private message too. She was cussing at me telling me to mind my own buisiness because it is her dog and she will do what she wants. She told me she talked to her vet too and that I should talk to mine. LOL I am not the one trying to breed a dog at age one and wondering when they have thier "time of the month".
"FIRST OFF IM NOT DOING IT FOR THE MONEY I COULD CARE LESS AND SECOND OFF I CAN BREED HER WHEN SHE IS ONE YEAR OF AGE. THIRD OFF IF YOU ARE A CAT LOVER YOU SHOULD HAVE NO SAY YOU ALL ARE RUDE AND ANNOYING!"
Well...after all this time, she comes back.
I wasn't aware that people can't like both cats AND dogs. My dogs(who are spayed, by the way) will be very upset to learn that. Of course, it will make my cats very happy.
If you "could care less" and you are breeding her before she is even fully mature-why ARE you doing it?
Nicholelovesbabystar, in your first post you said you were going to breed your female with another registered male, and sell the pups. Please don't even consider breeding your girl until she's at least 2. Chihuahua's are so tiny, and to breed them before they are health tested, and mature is really risking your dog's life. We are not telling you these things to be mean, we have years of experience breeding owning and rescuing dogs. If you do your research you will understand what I'm talking about.
