My 6 month old Cavalier puppy has started acting like he's not interested in eating. I thought maybe he wasn't getting enough exercise so I started walking him longer and more often...no change. His activity level is the same as far as his personality and his playing habits and no changes in potty or anything, just doesn't seem interested. I feed him Wellness Puppy. I'm thinking of switching to Wellness Adult and see if he likes that better. Any ideas?
Once puppies near their adult height/weight their appetite can slow down. If your puppy is still eating and drinking and acts otherwise healthy I wouldn't worry about it at all. Since he is getting close to adult height and weight, it certainly won't hurt to gradually change him over to adult food by mixing it with the puppy but I think changing foods just because he's acting a little picky is a bad idea, and can actually have the unintended effect of making a 'not-so-picky' eater into one.
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
