How Do I Get My Shih Tzu to Stop Pooping in the House?

My dog poops inside the house.

My 8 month old shih tzu won't stop pooping in the house, even though we take her outside ALL THE TIME! (she doesn't go outside when we take her.)How do I get her to stop?

I am having the same problem with mine and she's alittle over a year. If you find out the solution please help me. We have kept her in the crate and she will go to the bathroom in it and i have to bath her but, she don't seem to mind it when she poops in her cage. Help!!

i have a 4 year old shih tzu but we adopted her from a shelter. when we received her she was mostly trained. but she seems to still poop alot in the house. my mother HATES it, but the dogs know what theyre doing. usually the only time she does it, is when we lock her in a room at night instead of a cage, or dont let her spend enough time outside.

when i do take her out, i tell her to 'go potty' she knows what that means apparently. but thats only to make her pee. i have to say 'go poo poo' and then she'll walk around the yard in a spot where she thinks you cant see her, and thats where the ickyness happens.

just try to train them by saying key words, once they gets familiar with it they'll realize what you want they to do.

my shih tzu's 3 months and potty trained really well..I started to train her since she was 6 weeks. I took her out 1-2 hours after she ate and I stayed with her outside until pee and poo.( need a lot of patience) When she had accident inside the house I screamed "NOOOOOOOOOO" (I scream NOOO when she does something wrong) and made her smell her pee or poo. It worked so well.. We didn't have any accident for last 1 month so far.. :)

My shih tzu pups only s year old and she still poops in the house but i have trained her to go pee outside only i have to take her out each 1-2 hours or "uh oh" she'll do it in the house! Im trying to make her go outside but she never poops outside she always does it either in my room or the living room... i trained her go pee pee out side by making her smell her pee but it never worked for poop?! please help me??? i need help i cant help stepping in her poop cos she always does it in strange places!!! some times by my feet when im sitting at the computer or watching TV its sooooo annoying!

Has anyone found an answer to this???????? Our Shih Tzu is 8 months old and will go outside to pee, but then comes in the house and poops or poops outside but still comes in and does more.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with that. I have multiple dogs in my house and the only one that poops in it on purpose (not sick, not left too long inside) is my stupid freaking Shih Tzu. I have a feeling that is how they get their name--- they just spelled it a little wrong.

It really bums me out. She has destroyed the carpeting in our home and we can't even put rugs down because she will go on anything like that. She has went from being one of my favorite dogs, to I am mad at her all the time.
