I have a 13 week (3 months) old Giant Schnauzer Any Ideas, on housebreaking? Ted was 13 weeks last Thursday & 3 months last friday I have been using a crating. Blocked off just enought for him to be able to lay down. but he is still waking up with pee in his crate. he is always wet by morning. I have set a timer for ever 4 1/2 hours. and the first time (when I wake him up) he is dry. He always gets up before the second and is already wet. sometimes 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours later. Any time he wakes me by the time I get down to let him out which takes about 2 minutes he is already wet.
I take his water & food away at 6:00pm we go to bed at 10:00pm I set the alarm for 2:00am I even changed the alarm for 2:30 and he is still dry. but thwe next time he has been wet...
He allway pees when he goes out. Never poop in the house (unless I have him on the treadmil and he didn't go outside frist. then he goes as he walks.
He is also still peeing in the house during the day. I set my timer for 2 hours I take him out and we come in and play for about 20-30 minutes. he usually pees during play or right after, I retake him out and then crate him usually in a bigger crate. and he has peed again by the time the remander 1h 40m -1h 30m is up.
Any Ideas? how long should a 3 month old be able to hold it? I always heard that they wouldn't pee where they sleep. well he does. Please advize
