A few weeks ago I noticed that Corinne ( my 3 month old Beaglehttp://www.dogster.com/dogs/895131 ) was licking her lips a lot. When I pulled her lip back I saw she had a cut on top of her upper Canine.. I washed it and kept a good eye on it and it healed just fine... well just today I was about to let her outside and she bumped the side of her face on a big speaker we have here, she kinda tilted her head and hacked a little like something went down her throat real fast...my first thought was...tooth.. and I was right! It knocked that upper canine right out and she swallowed it!
So how long do you think this new tooth will take to grow in? Since this one wasn't ready to come out yet.
Poor baby now her lip gets tucked under a bit and she looks like shes grinning.. haha it's the cutest thing! I'll try to get a picture.
aww, well since puppies usually swallow their baby teeth anyway, she's fine. Puppy teeth will usually start falling out around 4 months so it wasn't that far from the time it usually comes out they grow in pretty fast my puppy's permanents came in just like in a few weeks (no more than like a month or so) after they came out, so it shouldn't be that long.
Cider ripped a puppy canine out in an ex boyfriend's sock during a zoomie fest.. I freaked, he freaked. Things were fine. If it wasn't ready to come out yet it wouldn't have budged. Cider lost more than a few puppy teeth playing rough.
Many puppy teeth get swallowed and it's uneventful. Your pup will be fine.
