I have a 13 month old Pomeranian. I originally trained her to pads in the house (BIG MISTAKE!). Because I got her in January and she was only two pounds. I did not want to subject her to the rain and mud at that age and size. I subsequently crate trained her. Now, if I leave the door open so she can go out she usually takes herself to the proper place to go. However, if I do not "watch her like a hawk" and if she can not get out by herself, she just goes where she is. It's getting too cold to leave the door open all the time. Can anyone give me more suggestions for getting past this final hurdle in housebreaking?
