Is that a typo? If not that's way too much bathing. I'm that familiar with Cocker coats, so I'm not sure how often they should be bathed. I have a Maltese and it's usually recommended that they get a bath every week or two, depending on the idividual dog. If your dog really smells that bad, you should probably talk to your vet.
I bath the one american cocker I've shown and would like to show again once a week to promote coat growth.. He has to be thoroughly blow dried after each bath. My other American cocker gets bated at most once a month, and even that may be more often than she gets bathed in reality.
Figure out what exactly is smelling. Is it ears? Cockers are known for ear infections. Is it rear end? Anal gland problems can happen in any breed. Is it poorer quality food leading to allergies and hot spots, possibly being made worse by being bathed excessively?
3-4 times a week is way too much. There is some other problem you need to fix, that bathing won't.
