hi! Very new here! This is my quick story wanted to know any advice. Ok I am a stay at home mom so I am home all day. I have a 4 yr old tea-cup chihuahua (Desphie), a 5 yr old cat (Jasmine) (they get along fine) My 2 year old daughter (Mia) and a 3 month old pitbull/lab mix (Luna)---> All Female!. My chihuahua has just recently started being more aggressive with Luna and wants to play more. Mia keeps taking all of Luna's toys away and Luna takes Mia's away! I take time with all of them of course and keep the toys picked up for the most part. Luna loves to play with Desphie though and when Desphie is asleep Luna barks to wake her up. So my question. . Is this a good mix? We want to have another baby too so will Luna get jealous are be okay with all her surroundings? Also, Since Luna is going to get bigger will she be okay with me putting her outside when she is older to sleep? Desphie is an inside dog. Thanks!
Well, first of all...these are questions you should have asked BEFORE you got the puppy-not as an afterthought. And why would you even get a dog if you plan on having her outside? That's no life for a dog-they are pack animals and much prefer being with the family.
Well, such is life at my house. Everyone gets along fine and no one seems to be suffering mentally or emotionally. We have a mixture of types of dogs. Mastiff, Doberman, Chihuahuas, Rat Terriers, Mutts and so on. Although you should have asked these questions before bringing in the newcomer...you shouldn't have future problems, if you have proper socialization and training now.
Thanks.. My husband brought the puppy home.. I was just curious on any examples oh how raising little ones with puppies is a good idea or not. I always thought it was a good idea because they can grow together. I just thought about putting Luna outside because she loves to be outside now.
