Any one who shows Shiba have a good solution for keeping the coat in good show condition.

I have been trying to discover the perfect resolve to making and keeping the Shiba coat prime for show. I keep my Shibas indoors mostly and I live close to the ocean in Georgia so it rarely gets cold here. Lately my girls coats have been dry and have not grown in as well or as full as they have before. I feed my dogs blue buffalo salmon formula which is full of the omega-3 supplements. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you have them sleep somewhere cold? That will help get their coat think, I know some people who keep one room extra cold for their shbas. Ont top of that you ahve girls who tend to blow their coat in the fall and spring as well as after heat, which is why showing a double coated bitch is difficult. I would love to see pics of yours though. I have 2 that are 13 and 11 years old.
