Where did you get the bone from? Some of those rawhide bones are really bad for dogs. Or, your Jimmy might have a sensitive stomach. My male American Bulldog can't have any type of people food to include seatk bones, rib bones, pork bones and so on. He eats them and then it comes out of both ends. I take it you havn't had this problem before? But you did the right thing by throwing it away. Hope this helps.
Hope all is OK with Jimmy now. I know you can give dogs pepto, but I'd be more concerned about making sure he doesn't have a small piece of the rawhide lodged somewhere along the track. I stay away from rawhide and stick with pig ears, bullie sticks & home made treats like satin balls.

I hope he is doing fine. I only give rawhide made in the USA, and natural, no basting. I also do natural porkhind, but it is hard to find(usa made). My dogs cant have pig ears, or bully sticks. they eat them to fast and throw them back up. Just keep and eye on him, and if he is eating and pooing fine, he probably doesn't have a blockage. Any rawhide treat, pig ear, bully stick, etc. you give him, make sure it is large enough that he has to chew on it. If he can bite of large peices, they can get lodged.
