I am sorry in advance for this topic!! My dog has not had a BM in over 24 hours but there are a few factors.
One, we have had tons of snow in the Midwest and I am not sure if she is not picking up a scent. She hasn't even attempted to squat anywhere. Two, she did not eat a whole lot yesterday (less than she normaly does).
She is not lethargic, she is passing gas and she is not pacing in the house like she is uncomfortable.
That could be a clue to a number of things.... 1.Could she have eated something and she doesnèt feel well, and is not eating. So watch for Vomiting and Lethargy 2. How long are you walking her, she may need more time. 3. Its not that uncommon for a dog to skip meals, I used to fast mine on purpose and now they regularly skip meals. 4. The snow will definetly be a deterent, do you stay out just long enough to potty, or is there a hike involved.
I would not panick yet, keep an eye on her behavior, watch for discomfort, Lethargy and Vomiting, otherwise give it some more time.
When I look up into the sky, I think to myself, Wheres the ceiling?
Thank you for your advice. She did finally go this afternoon after a very long walk to the farthest park in our neighborhood. It does take her a little time when we go out. I try to have a set walking pattern so that she knows this is the walk to do that. But I think with the snow she got a little confused.
