Hello, i'm new, so i hope i'm doing this right. I have a question about my Mini Pin (Doberman). He's male & 1 yr. & 9 mo. old, the thing is, when he's walking around, he rubs against my legs, whether i'm standing or sitting down, like a cat would do, he'll walk around your chair & rub against your leg and he'll also, walk around objects & rub against them in a circle, like lean against it & keep walking. I find this rather weird, since i've never seen it before, at least not in dogs. I can understand a cat doing this, but a dog, never, lol. Is this normal? or maybe he's picked up just a weird & particular habit.
I'll assume its a Min Pin, cause a doberman is a large breed. Cats rub against us to tranfer their sent onto us, or objects, a dog may do it to get attention, or to itch himself. Alot of dogs also get muscular tension, and this may relieve it.
When I look up into the sky, I think to myself, Wheres the ceiling?
my sons dog does the same thing. he is a small breed also and i thought it was very strange that he did it. none of my larger dogs have ever done anything like it. wonder if it may be a small dog thing to do. he is the first small breed dog we have ever owned.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Its just a sweet quirk, lol. I have a had a couple Min Pins in my time do this, but have also had various large breeds that found it fun as well. Harder to stay on your feet when its a large dog as opposed to one of my min pins, lol.
