bathing a shihtzu

is it ok to bath a 3 month old shihtzu evryday?

a day after a i bath my puppy it stinks, i can stand it so i bath her everyday. is it ok?

I was bathing my 18 month old Shih Tzu every week, but the Breeder's Best Kennel Club book says about every two weeks, depending on how dirty they get. I do brush him every day, and have him professionally groomed once a month. If you go to a pet store like Petsmart or Petco, they can probably recommend something to help the smell between washings. dogs should not smell that bad unless they are getting into something stinky or have a health problem. I would check with your vet, and voice your concerns to him. Regular bathing like that is horrible for their skin and can cause problems.

Yeah u shouldn't bath ur shih tzu that much i bath mine every 2-4 weeks since she gets dirty abit... but u should check in with the vet if she/he smell alot and need bathing almost everyday!

If u bath them too many times like everyday to every 2 days its bad for their skin so u must also make sure to make regular vet check ups with ur shih tzu

I really hope this helps u out alot since im not all big on knowing all bout dogs but learning more when I check online for tips it works everytime since i go to this great site i forget what its called though... but when i remember i will tell u guys

Danabon.... I know you are just trying to help, but this post is from Jan almost a year old. We have never heard from that person again. You really need to check dates, as most of the time there is little point in responding to these old topics
