My girls, Bitty and Addy, are litter mates. Their grandmother is a desert lynx. Their father is either a Desert Lynx or a Highland Lynx, but I'm not sure which. He has curled ears and is longhaired. They are some kinda wild cat cross so as far as I know there isn't really a purebred, just generation. Desert Lynx have odd shaped heads, small muscular bodies, curled ears and often have naturally bobbed tails. I think they are supposed to be spotted or tabby colored. Of my two girls, Bitty had curled ears as a kitten. They have straightened out, but are still small and rigid. She also has the odd shaped head. She is mostly black with a white chin, belly and toes. Addy looks like a run of the mill longhaired black cat. Their mom was a calico.
Do any of you know anything about the "breed?" From what I can tell, there is a lot of disention amongst Desert Lynx breeders. I don't know how I feel about the hybrid cats. My girls' grandmother was very territorial and aggressive. Bitty is very sweet, like her mom, the calico. Addy, like her father, is shy and seems to have a lot of anxiety.
