I would love to have any creative thinkers! Whomever I use I will send you a free 2 pound box of treats for your dog! I may still use Betsy's Biscuits except that just yesterday I became aware of a company out of Texas (smaller than I plan to be) I am in Toledo, Ohio that is called Betsy's Best that also supplies homemade dog treats and buscuits. They are not as "gourmet" as mine will be. I can still change mine as I don 't have my website posted yet and don't have business cards or packaging printed up yet But It will be early next week. My name is Betsy and I plan on doing some local business so that was the reason for using my name. ANy thoughts out there??
I don't have my best thinking cap on right now, but off the top of my head I came up with Barklisous Biscuits. Kinda like people places that are delisous deserts. I know I spelled that wrong, but I hope you get the idea. I can spell to save my own life
I know I had the same problem comming up with a kennel name. I went through a bunch. Do you have a middle name that is a bit more unique? I am lucky my name is Cherie, so when I wanted to start my own grooming shop the name was going to be Cherie's pampered puppies. I am probably not going to open my own shop, I don't think I could deal with stupid people lol. You could work with just about anything when you put your name in front of it. It doesn't have to be your first name, it could be middle or last. You do _____ Creative Canine Cookies, use mine pampered puppies or pampered pooches, Delicate Doggie Delights, and so on. I hope you find your name that means the most to you.
I am new here - haven't even posted a photo yet, but am intriqued by your question because I am a marketing specialist. First, it seems obvious you would like to use your name, which puts a homey touch to the name of the treat. However, to make a treat appetizing (to the human who is buying it for the furrie), you need to capture their attention.
Your treats are gourmet, which means they are a special blend of ingredients and a high-end, upscale item on the market. That's great, because the pet business is an upwardly mobile phenomena and you want your title to be unique and capture the imagination of the human. People love to feel they are pampering their pets in an extra-special way.
Since these are dog treats, I would definitely include the word "Bites" in the name. (It has a double meaning, of course, in that the dogs will bite into them and that they are treats.)
Taking all these factors under consideration, why not try:
Betsy's Gourmet Blended Bites
If you offer the treat in different sizes, I would include that information by naming them according to size, too.
Betsy's Gourmet Blended Big Bites (for dogs <enter weight range or a few dog breed names in the target area)
Betsy's Gourmet Blended Medium Bites (for dogs <enter weight range or dog breed names suitable for this size treat)
Betsy's Gourmet Blended Small Bites (for dogs <enter weight range or breeds)
I hope this helps you decide on a great name for the treats, which are delicious to the canine community, I'm sure.
Also, remember to keep the psychology of color in mind when designing your packaging. Red and yellow are not my favorite colors, but in the world of color, they actually stimulate appetite. (Look at McDonalds' color scheme - and McDonalds is one of only two corporations who did not experience any drops in the stock market during our current economic crisis!) Keep in mind we are stimulating the human's appetite to buy the treat for the dog.
