Mason ate something outside on our walk yesterday evening and later that night he vomitted everything in his tummy, including whatever it was that he ate outside. He's fine now, but my carpet isn't. I have 4 brown stains on the carpet.
I swear by Nature's Miracle, but it's just not doing the trick on these stains. I cleaned the stains last night and then again this morning. It's getting better, but not like the miracle that I was expecting.
Does anyone have any other carpet cleaners that you can suggest?
I like the woolite rug stick. It has cleaned some really nasty diarrhea, from a pit I was fostering. I have used it on some reallly old stains(the carpet in this house is horrible from previous owners), it has lighten them, but not gotten rid of them completely.
If you have a shop vac, douse the stains with Dawn dish soap (very little, maybe half a teaspoon in two cups of water) and blot the stain with paper towels, don't scrub it.Do this several times, as long as the stain is getting harder to see. Use the shop vac to suck all the water out. If you don't have a shop vac, use stacks of paper towels, and weigh them down with something heavy. I have also used ammonia and water, and white vinegar in water, and done the same thing. I used to have carpet right through my house, but since I raise all my puppies inside, the stain removal became far too frequent, although the mixtures above did a decent job. I ripped all that carpet out, and put down laminate wood flooring, and the clean up is now so easy. Good luck, and let us know if it works.
