Ok so my husband and I have a 2 month old bloodhound and neither of us can get. Her to go on the puppy pads or outside and I really don't know this breed. But if anyone can help it will be appriciated.
She is only 2months old. She cant walk before she crawls. Show her were you want her to go. You have to watch her for signs, alot of sniffing, turning, etc. Also she will have to go when she wakes, after she eats, etc. This is a new baby. Teach her. I have had mini aussies take til they are over 6months to get it. That is normal.
You have a puppy and babies need to be taught how to live in the human world. She will do her need to relieve herself 10 to 20 min after she eats, after she sleeps and after she plays. Feed her at regular hours and take her out without fail. And don't forget to praise her when she does well. Tell her what she is doing right in a sing song voice say Oh good pee pee and treat! Ignore her mistakes and reward her when she does well. If you do see her in the act you can say NO! but just to make her stop and then take her right outside to finish what she was doing. I realize that this is a stressful part of owning a dog but it is rare that one does not get trained. Relax and have fun with your baby and remember there are bound to be some accidents but it will all work out. Good Luck !
