I have an 8 month old English Bull Terrier, who loves to find, and chew on the wires in the house. Just yesterday he chewed on phone wires and completely shut off my phone service. (grr)...these wires were under the desk...for the most part, thruout the rest of the house we have hid the wires under the rug, or put stuff on top, so that he doesnt see it..but the ones under the desk im unable to hide..cuz there are way too many of them. (computer wires, phone, fax, printer, etc)...is there anything i can do, besides screaming "No" (which, by the way, is obviously ineffective)
Young puppies are like toddlers. You have watch them and teach them what they can and can not due. "no" only works when the dog understands it and wants to listen. never let the puppy out of your sight, and then when they do somthing they are not supposed to, take them out of that situation and give them a correct toy. A good chew bone, kong or something that will take their mind off of whatever the bad thing was. When My one mini aussie was a baby, I had to block off every small space I could. she loved to get behind things and go to sleep. Have some really special bones avail. for him. When he gets into trouble, tell him no pull him out of the situation, and give his toy.
