I have a 4 month old Austrailian Shepherd/Collie Mix. I have had her roughly 2 months and at first things were fine but for the last 2 weeks or so she has been scared to death of me. She loves my girlfriend and will play with her all day but as soon as I stand up she runs and hides under the bed and whenever I try to pet her she urinates uncontrolably. I don't know whats wrong with her but I really wish I could even pet my own dog.
I hate to say this, but maybe a man abused your puppy. Dogs don't tend to forget ifsomeone hurt them badly. I had a doxie that I ended up putting to slep because she attacked 4 of my dogs. Anyway it took her almost a year of me being kind to her before she really trusted me. She never trusted my husband-she once cleared a 6 foot fence to get away from him. All I can say is give the puppy time. Maybe you should take over her care-feeding, taking to potty, etc. It sounds like she is extremely submissive. what she is doing is submissive urination. She likely thinks you are going to hurt her. I would start by just sitting by her. act like she isn't there. allow her to approach you if she wants, but don't make her.
