i was wondering if it realy is hard to potty train a 3 year old bichon i am getting my first bichon dog i am adopting him they said he will not poop in the house but he does pee pee in the house and they have to put diapers on him but isnt there an easy way to train them that wouldnt be so harsh like crate them for a short period like 1 to two ours a day? and take them out doors every two hours? i cant talk mean or harsh to an animal like that that just isnt my nature i have seen people realy whip a dog pretty bad for peeing or pooping in the house there has got to be a better way! please if any one has any tips on this situation please let me know as soon as possible thank you cowgirl42
You must keep in mind you will have to train a young dog.that means you will likely get jumped on quite a bit. But maybe a toy breed like a chihuahua, or yorkie, or some similar sized breed would be good for you. They generally couldn't knock over a fairly wobbly young adult. You tend to shuffle-walk when you have a toy breed. Chinese Cresteds are really good. They love to snuggle, but you still have the training issues same as all breeds.
