Boerboels always seem to get bad name, but actully its the owner that makes the animal what it becomes. Skin problems is a big thing with boerboels, they love to rubbing up against things, and flies causes allot of the problems too. For flies I use Quadrapel, its the spray they use on horses to keep flies away, and it also gives a shin to the coat. Bedding (were the dog sleeps) is also a question. My angle - bedding gets washed every week and she also sleeps inside on her own bed.(ya shes spoiled)but shes like a child in the house, and boerboels are known for working in a pack. And having her going in and out as she pleases - makes me feel secure - cause she doesnt miss a thing. Sorry, for changing the subject, food a big problem for there skin, and stay away from small bones.
My personal experions: Dont give anything off the table except if its veggies and theres no salt exc. added. Our spices just to much for there tummies.
To get a problem sorted; look at changes you mite have made within last 3 weeks food, bedding, play area - any changes.
And if its a bacterial infection you would nead to get anti - botics ours for at least 10 days, not longer.
Im not sure where most of all you chatters are from - Im RSA.
