I have a cat who is pregnant. She was a stray and I have no idea when she got pregnant. You can see that she is pregnant, her nipples are big, and you can see and feel the babies move. Any idea on about how long I may have till she is ready to go. I want to make sure I am there by her side when the time comes.
could be a few days or it could be a few weeks. give her a comfy bed in one room where there's very little actvity.keep in mind cats like private dark areas. And while she's having her kittens don't bother her at all.It can stress her.
my boyfriend and i are not sure but we think his cat my be pregnant, she got out of the house on saturday night and was gone for about 45 minutes, we know she was at the end of being in heat for about the 3rd or 4th time, if she does end up pregnant how long are they pregnant for? and another question, shes got 7 toes on both front paws and 6 on her back paws.. does anyone think that she would end up having any kittens like her??
Yes, it is possible that she is pregnant. Take her to the vet to make sure. The gestation period is 58-65 days, or 9 weeks. You will will not notice any signs until she is about 3 weeks before delivery time. You will start to see her nipples enlarge, weight gain (buldging sides), increased appetite, more affectionate, and nesting. But I'm sorry, I just have to ask, why is not spayed yet? On her extra toes, that is called Polydactyl. It is caused by a mutation gene that causes the cat to have extra toes. Yes she could pass it to her kittens, but is a 50-50 chance. It is a incomplete dominant gene, there are levels, depending on whether the cat has one or two genes for the trait. Some can also be born with the extra toes so small that no one notices them.
Well, you really can tell how many weeks pregnant she is..you can just tell how big..You can tell by the way she is reacting and how she moves, but if it was me i would take her to the vet to figure out how many weeks pregnant and i would ask her more health questions about the pregnancy good luck
