Yesterday our puppy went in to the vet for a weigh in and to discuss his loose stools. Our vet decided to give him a good general "one time" de-wormer. It was just in case something had been missed in his stool check almost 3 weeks ago. She also prescribed Metronidazole for his diarrhea.
We fed him his dinner that night and gave him the dewormer chewables (2 - 68mg ones). When my husband took him out potty a couple hours later (he had diarrhea) we gave him the Metronidazole along with a dog treat.
This morning his stool started solid but ended very soft/almost loose. Nothing nearly as bad as what he had before (pudding/watery consistency) but we were/are concerned.
Then right before we were going to feed him his breakfast, he vomited what was left of his dinner from last night. It was just food, no blood, or anything unusual. He is acting normally now. Actually he is playing with the other dog as I type this! :)
I put a call in to our vet but no callback yet. Anyone else going through/gone through this with their puppy? Any advice would be great! Heaps of thank you's to all in advance! :)
Hi, Ive got a two year old Female boerboel-and it was love at first sight. Boerboels is known for skin problems - currently Im using herbal spray called ECS and it worked. But - yes but, it all depends on what is the cause of the problem. It could be food it could be bedding and mostlikely flies. kissmanga http://bit.ly/2KpU5Rl read thoudsands of high-quality manga
