I need to know if anyone on here has any experience with Ball Pythons. I have recently got my first Ball Python, we have other type of snakes, but this is my first Ball Python. I can't seem to get him to eat. I believe his tank setup is good, he is in a 30 gallon tank, with a screen lid, it locks, he has fir bark covering the bottom of his tank, he has a climibing branch, a half log hide, a large water bowl to soak in if needed. I made him a humid hide by taking a plastic dish and cutting a hole in the lid thats big enough for him to crawl through and I have put a litte water in it, and set it on the warm side of the tank under the lamp. I keep the warm side of the tank at 80 - 90 degrees, and the cool side of the tank at 70 - 80, normally the cool side stays in the upper 70's. The person that I got him from said he eats frozen fuzzy mice, and I have thawed the mice like they said and put him in a seperated container like they said to do, but he hasn't eaten. I've had him 2 weeks and I'm getting worried. Our other snake, a Rosy Boa, has no problems with eating, so this is bothering me that my Ball Python hasn't eaten. My Python is about a foot and a half long, so I know its young. They said he was a good eater when I got him. Any help would be great. Thanks.
We should strive to be the kind of people our dogs think we are.
