My female was spayed 9 months ago. Today I notiiced she was acting werid and has that goofy look on her face. She's trying to hump my neutered males. I called my vet this morning to inquire and they said this isn't normal and would call me back. Of coarse no one did My males are neutered but one of them was just "stuck" with her. I don't understand? How and why is this happening? Did the vet make a mistake? Should he redo surgery at his cost? Obvouisly this is her first heat after binging spayed Really upset the vet didn't do his job correctly What do you all think? This happen to anyone else? Is a second surgery needed? Please help. Going crazy dealing with her trying to hump everyone-
It does happen occasionally that the vet will accidentally leave a little ovarian tissue behind causing them to go into a "heat", but they have no uterus to carry a litter. Personally I would do whatever I had to to get them to re-do the surgery at their cost, they messed it up, if this is indeed the problem.
My question is if the male has been fixed why was he even interested in the female. I have a male dog that has been fixed and females that have not been fixed, he doesn't even notice when they are in heat. You may want to have the males checked also, especially if the same vet fixed both of them. Make them do it at their expense. They are the ones that messed it up. Good Luck and God Bless!
