I have a King Charles Cavalier and his ears are too long but I would never get them clipped but my friend has a King Charles Cavalier and she got his ears clipped and he looks well I don't like it I like the natural look but if you had or have a dog with long ears would you get them clipped or if you had or had a dog with long ears and you got them clipped why did you do that cause it is very painful for the dog!
are you describing a grooming procedure or a surgical procedure when you say "clipped" ? in the event you are speaking of a dog having surgery to crop the ears of a Cav... I'd call that mutilation. If you're talking about a groomer trimming the hair on the ears, it's not gonna be pretty, but probably not harmful. Please clarify.
I'm assuming the OP meant surgery because I can't imagine that clipping hair could be construed as painful.
It's a personal choice. Me, I wouldn't choose to have my dog's ears cropped. I have seen some dogs that look very nice with cropped ears, and I don't think that people who choose to have it done are cruel and horrible.
"Be who you are and say what you feel. Because those that matter, don't mind...And those that mind....don't matter."
This post does show how so many of the anti docking/cropping people really don't even understand what they are against. I've heard so many stories about both procedures, that are obviously made up. If you're going to speak out on something, at least educate yourself.

I think you are right! This person did another post on top 10 ugliest dogs, and posted pics of the same dog, I did a reply and the weirdo left me 5 messages saying the same thing how the pictures were different dogs! Can you say stalker/troll! LOL
