Ok, so...I want to purchase one of these little guys, but I am nervous because only the father has papers and he said he can't get papers for the mother. I have been doing a lot of research on these dogs, but can anyone tell me if they notice anything other that draws their thoughts away from being a purebred pitbull?
I'm no expert on Pits but I can tell you one thing, they are adorable! Unless you plan on showing or breeding, I would say go ahead and get the one that makes your heart melt! Love him and spoil him rotten!
Best of luck!
Friends will step in when the rest of the world steps out.
It's hard to tell at that young of age, but they sure do look like pits. If they are selling them for a decent price, and you are not going to show, and he loves you, then get him! Registration papers do not make a great dog, the owner does! If the parents have a good temperment, than a good chance the puppies will. Good luck with your new baby, he sure is adorable
I think he is adorable. I would say yes, but no one will ever know for sure.
May I ask, Why does it matter? There are no papers, so you wont be able to get papers anyway. If he is mix, does that mean you won't live him as much, or get rid of him if you find out as he grows? If so, then don't get him and go find a reputable breeder and pay the price for a well breed pit.
If they aren't registered, there is no way to know whether they are 100% purebred or not. Honestly with the huge range in APBT appearances, I'm not entirely sure what a purebred pitbull should look like. A lot of people breed them to extremes and different registries have different standards. As long as they are coming from reputable breeders, I say go for it. They are certainly cute!
