We have a young 15 month old female scottie that loves people but is very aggressive towards other dogs. It's as if a switch in her brain turns on and she turns into this attack dog. If I hold her and cover her eyes she squirms but does not bark.
She does have a dog friends down the street that she gets along with. She also goes ballistic at any vermin, mainly squirrel and rabbits, that are in her field of vision or nose. She loves hiking and walks but she wants to attack any other dog that we encounter. Her behavior seems to be getting worse. Is there anyway to remedy this situation? If not, her days of having morning and evening walks are numbered. Will a shock collar help?
