I have 2 Pit Bulls and tey are the best dogs ever. One is 5 and one is 10. One is named Gotti. He is the oldest. He is a mix of a Pit Bull and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. And Xena is the youngest. She is a full Pit Bull.
My friend has a 2 year old red nose male named Ceaser. He is a great dog, he is well trained and one of the most spoiled pets I know. Most people where we live think that all pit bulls are mean but once they meet Ceaser they really do start to reconsider. There should be more good pet owners and stricter breeders. If responsible breeders sold to responsible owners it would do so much good for the breed as a whole.
I think Pit bulls are lovely dogs my nephew has a pit a red nose and a T cup Jack Russel and the T cup Jack just Dominates the Pit and i look at the jack Laughing thinking to myself you've got a dog bred for fighting which could do untold damage to any dog being bossed about by this little Jack but it all comes down to the owner i live in Liverpool England and as in most cities were am from Pits are used as weapons it was 1 of the mane reasons i moved of my estate through uncontrollable Pitts running off lead ahead of there so called owners i use to see these dogs beaten kicked punched cos they failed to do what the owner required i use to think i hope one day the dog would turn on them just to teach them a lesson and its not the poor dogs fault its the owner as we no. Anyway big fan of pit bulls even though have never owned one Paddy
I currently own a pit and she is just the sweetest thing. I got her for my husband for his birthday last year and he's spoiled her rotten. She is great around kids and all other dogs. Granted, we are responsbile owners and socialized her very young and still do. We also have two mini-schnauzers and they all play wonderful together. We joke sometimes that Delilah (our pit) would escort burglars in and out of the house if they ever tried to take anything and the other two little ones would prob be better guard dogs. :)
I don't have a pitbull, but my neighbors do. It's a really cute red-nosed pitty and it loves to run up to people and lick them. There are a few people, unfortunately, who barely take their dogs out because they think the pit bulls going to eat them.
Pits are beautiful dogs. The only time a dog goes bad ( and any dog can turn nasty not just your pit/terrier/bull breeds) is when they are unfortunate enough to get a bad owner. Its us humans who are bad not the dogs. Due to the minority of bad owners many of our wonderful pit/terrier/bull breeds are tarred with the same brush. I have had people walk across the road to the other side of the street rather than walk by me and my dogs, all because of stigma attached to the breed by the nuggets of this world.
