Does anyone know how many times a St. Bernard should be carrying pups per year? There's a "breeder" as she calls herself that is yet again selling pups from the same female. It's the third time in a year this poor dog has had puppies. The person also advertises on the internet to sell the puppies, but each time in a different manner/area. How is this safe for the female, and what vet would approve this if the dog and pups are vet checked?
A vet can only recommend the proper care, but has no control over a clients actual actions. I also do not see a vet refusing to see a client because they breed more often than they think is good, thats more revenue for the vet.
A dont see how 3 litter in one year from the same female is possible either. Cycles in general 6 months aprt, but more often that not, they are not exact like that. St Bernards as well as any larger breed alot of times only cycles every 8-10 months.
If they are claiming to be from a different location each time and its the same people, with that and claiming the same dam....I would run the other way.
