Hi everyone! Some of you may or may not remember me telling about my Boston, Maddie, who had her leg amputated in January. About a week ago, she started having a little cough. Of course, I took her to the vet. He performed a chest x-ray and found several small spots on her lungs. He sent her home with some meds and prepared us for the worst. Her breathing had become very labored over the last few days. This morning, she began coughing up blood. I made the decision to have her laid to rest.
She was so strong and so sweet. She was the mother to all of our dogs and loved to bathe every one of them.
We are all going to miss her so much. It was the most difficult decision we had to make, but she was obviously the best thing for her. She was such a blessing to us and we know she is no longer suffering.
Friends will step in when the rest of the world steps out.
I'm sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. She had a great life with you, but you had to do the right thing. Just remember she is in a better place now and not suffering anymore.
Animals, what animals? My children just have alot of hair!
My heart goes out to you. Unfortunately making this decision is part of loving them. She will be at rainbow bridge with 4 good legs and jumping for joy when you arrive. You made the best decision and was not selfish.
