I had two cats, then moved out of town. They went and stayed at my uncle's out in the country. They were indoor/outdoor there. When I got them back, almost a lyear later, they had fleas and worms. I gave them worm meds, then again in two weeks. A week or so after the second treatment, their appetites greatly decreased. I gave them flea baths and did a treatment on the apartment a few days later. They have always had bloody buttholes. The younger of the two doesnt anymore, but the older cat does. They both also had a litter of kittens six months ago. I kept one kitten from the older cat's litter and she now also has a bloody butthole. I have never ever seen blood in their feces. I never saw worms in their feces either, though, just around their anal areas. I am pregnant and need to get these cats treated as poissible, but my vet refuses to even hear me out over the phone.
PLEASE help!!! I dont want to give up my girls! They're my best friends
You will have to make a vet appointment. The vet can't treat over the phone, as he will need to examine them, run a stool sample, etc to be able to explain the bleeding.
I would not delay, they can become anemic easily, which makes them ill, and eventually pass away if not treated. Could be extreme flea infestation, extreme hook worms, etc...cant say without seeing them.
