dachshund/beagle mix my g/f is a vet tech and she says absolutely, however you can also spend $55 and do a dna heritage test and it will tell you everything you dog has in it from top to bottom thats what we did with ours just goggle in dog dna testing you get the results back in 2 weeks though they say it will be 6-8 weeks it wasnt for us.Good Luck(^L^)
I'm saying it's crossed with pit bull, but that's mostly because where I live, it seems that all the dogs in the shelter are pit bull mixes! I think it would also help explain the brindle, which I don't think is in beagles ?!?
I suggest saving your money and leaving your pup's ancestry a mystery. I read an article recently about the DNA tests. The labs have intentionally left pit bull OUT of the DNA database so that the results won't be used against owners. If you've got pit in the mix, the results are going to come out wacky.
I think maybe doxy/pit too. There may be some beagle in there as well. I know it isn't JUST doxy/beagle because the ears would be different. The brindle may come from dachshund or pit or both. I'm agreeing on the DNA, I think they should be more for entertainment value at this point pretty much though they'll probably be more accurate in the future. He's an adorable pup.
Maybe it might help if we knew how old the pup is and about how big? There are some thing's that remind me a bit of a beagle(nothing to actually pinpoint though so it could just be how thing's turned out or more likely it's beagle and another). What I CAN pinpoint is that it isn't possible to be JUST Doxy and Beagle because of the ears. Doxy's and Beagles have similar ear set, length, and shape so that would match and this guys ear's do not come close (do match a pit's though or possibly something like a jack and both are common in mixes as well).
I would say you have a das. mixed but i would say beagle a little off, My guess would be either a boxer or a pitbull because of the shape of the face and the colorings. Boxers tend to be a little taller and cut higher then boxers. But boxers faces are a big more boxed. Good Luck..
I will have children when they act as well as my dogs..
