Yes, thank you so much for wanting to add to the over population problem. Why don't you try looking on petfinders, or in the shelter and see all the mutts that are looking for homes. Not to mention all the puppies that are put to sleep every year.
Definatly breed your dog, and hope no one puts any of your babies to sleep.
Here is an idea, NEUTER your dog! Why in the world would you want to breed your MIX dog. He is not pure bred, so I don't understand how you can say he is "the real deal". Breeding dogs are supposed to BETTER the breed, not contribute to the majorly overpopulated mutts.
Don't get me wrong. There is nothing with having a mix breed, but to purposley breed you mutt, just to make more mutts for $$$ is horrible.
Animals, what animals? My children just have alot of hair!
I have a Shih-tzu x Bichon mutt - she is the cutest, prettiest little doggie I know. She would probably make the cutest babies too. And people told me I should breed her, I could have made a lot of money...she is a doll, everyone stops me to say how beautiful she is...
But alas, she has been spayed. No amount of money could convince me to breed her anyway. Too many backyard breedings and weird mixes coming up... there are enough puppies in the shelters to convince me to get my animals fixed.
There's just something strange about someone saying they want to breed their dog because they want to just keep one of them and we "can have the rest". Maybe I'm just weird but that just struck me.
In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland
No one needs papers to prove a mixed breed is a mixed breed, and they surely should not be breeding them to ad to the already overpopulated shelters from the rest of the irresponsible people who also thought their little mutt would make cute puppies.
